About the role
Join the core modeling team building and training foundation models that power Vivral. You will own research experiments, training runs, evaluation, and shipping improvements under real product deadlines. We care about mathematical foundations and research craft — not prior experience in medicine.
What you’ll do
- Design, train, and evaluate LLMs and foundation models end to end.
- Run experiments with clear hypotheses, ablations, and write-ups.
- Partner with GPU systems and product engineers to get models into production.
- Ship on hard timelines with a small, high-trust team.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of linear algebra and Calculus III (multivariable calculus).
- Experience engaging in machine learning research (papers, open-source, lab, or industry).
- Hands-on experience training LLMs and/or other foundation models.
- Proven experience working on a team and completing projects with hard deadlines.
- Comfortable with Python and modern ML stacks (e.g. PyTorch).
- No medical or clinical background required.
-
About the role
Make training and inference actually fit the hardware we have. You will write and tune GPU kernels, profile bottlenecks, and help the ML team train larger models faster under real constraints — budget, memory, power, and multi-vendor GPUs.
What you’ll do
- Write and optimize GPU kernels (CUDA, ROCm/HIP, Triton, or equivalent).
- Improve training throughput and memory efficiency for foundation model workloads.
- Profile and debug performance across NVIDIA, AMD, and other accelerators we use.
- Partner with ML engineers to turn research training recipes into reliable systems.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience writing GPU kernels of any kind (production or research).
- Experience optimizing machine learning model training on GPUs under constrained conditions (memory, latency, cost, or cluster limits).
- Strong systems fundamentals: concurrency, memory hierarchy, profiling tools.
- Comfortable collaborating with researchers and product engineers.
- C/C++ and Python fluency preferred; low-level comfort is more important than a specific stack.

About the role
Same modeling bar as our ML engineers, with a specialty in on-device performance. You will bring models to Apple Silicon — writing Metal kernels, optimizing inference, and keeping Vivral fast and private on iPhone and Mac.
What you’ll do
- Train and adapt models with the same research rigor as the core ML team.
- Write Metal kernels and low-level GPU code for Apple Silicon.
- Optimize on-device ML for latency, memory, thermal, and battery limits.
- Integrate with Core ML / MLX / custom runtimes as needed and ship with the app team.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of linear algebra and Calculus III.
- Experience with machine learning research and training LLMs or foundation models.
- Experience writing Metal kernels and optimizing ML models for Apple Silicon.
- Experience working in a team and delivering against hard deadlines.
- Comfortable in Swift and/or C++ for performance-critical paths.
- No medical background required.

About the role
Own the structure of Vivral on iOS and Android — clean architecture, safe data handling, reliable releases, and product polish people trust with health context. You care as much about organization and safety as you do about features.
What you’ll do
- Design and ship well-organized app architecture on iOS and Android.
- Implement privacy-preserving storage, auth, networking, and offline behavior.
- Collaborate with design and ML engineers on native product surfaces.
- Raise the bar on testing, observability, and release quality.
Requirements
- Professional experience shipping production apps on iOS and/or Android (both preferred).
- Strong fundamentals in app architecture (modularization, state, navigation, dependency boundaries).
- Serious attention to safety: secure storage, least-privilege permissions, careful handling of sensitive data.
- Swift and/or Kotlin fluency; familiarity with platform APIs and store release processes.
- Comfort working with designers and meeting product deadlines.
- Nice to have: React Native or shared mobile codebases; CI/CD for mobile.
-
About the role
You design in code. Build distinctive, production-quality interfaces for Vivral across mobile platforms — not generic component soup. High taste, strong implementation skills, and comfort shipping yourself.
What you’ll do
- Create custom, unique UIs in SwiftUI, React Native, and Android (Jetpack Compose).
- Own interaction details, motion, and visual systems end to end.
- Prototype quickly and harden designs into shippable product code.
- Partner with app engineers so design intent survives implementation.
Requirements
- Experience building custom UIs with SwiftUI and React Native.
- Experience on Android UI as well (Jetpack Compose preferred).
- Portfolio that shows distinctive product taste — not only design system work.
- Ability to go from Figma (or equivalent) to production UI without handoff theater.
- Strong communication and comfort iterating with founders and engineers.
-
About the role
Help the world understand Vivral. This is a hands-on marketing role for someone who has shipped product marketing work before — deep corporate marketing tenure is not required — and who thinks in global audiences, not just one city.
What you’ll do
- Write and ship product messaging, launches, and campaign narratives.
- Support global marketing: localization-aware copy, regional channels, and international positioning.
- Coordinate site, social, and partner materials with design and leadership.
- Measure what works and iterate quickly.
-
About the role
Build the legal foundation of a health-tech company: privacy, product, commercial, and corporate matters. You will work closely with leadership and the Head of Marketing & Legal to keep us moving fast without being reckless.
What you’ll do
- Own day-to-day legal support across product, privacy, contracts, and corporate needs.
- Draft and negotiate vendor, partner, and employment agreements.
- Advise on consumer health, data protection, and marketing compliance with practical judgment.
- Help stand up policies, playbooks, and outside-counsel relationships as we scale.
-
About the role
Lead the machine learning division — research direction, hiring, quality bar, and delivery. You are still technical enough to review training plans and model decisions, and senior enough to build a team that ships.
What you’ll do
- Set ML strategy for foundation models, evaluation, and product impact.
- Hire and manage ML and iOS ML engineers; coach them through hard projects.
- Coordinate with GPU Systems so research ambitions match hardware reality.
- Own roadmaps, reviews, and external technical representation as needed.
Requirements
- Deep hands-on background training large models or leading teams that do.
- Strong mathematical and research foundations; can set a high technical bar.
- Prior people leadership or clear evidence of leading multi-person technical projects.
- Excellent prioritization under deadlines and resource constraints.
- No medical domain requirement — product judgment and ML excellence matter more.
-
About the role
Lead GPU performance and systems optimization for the company. You define how we train and serve models efficiently across hardware, hire the systems team, and keep training ambitious without burning the budget.
What you’ll do
- Own strategy for kernels, training infrastructure, and multi-GPU efficiency.
- Hire and lead systems engineers focused on GPU performance.
- Partner with Head of ML on what is trainable, affordable, and shippable.
- Establish profiling standards, hardware planning, and performance goals.
Requirements
- Extensive experience with GPU programming and ML training performance at scale.
- Track record optimizing training or inference under real hardware and cost constraints.
- Leadership experience — formal manager or technical lead of systems/performance work.
- Clear communicator who can translate systems tradeoffs for ML and leadership.
-
About the role
Own the company’s external voice and its legal guardrails as one integrated function. You lead marketing staff and legal counsel so brand, growth, and compliance stay aligned — especially important for consumer health products.
What you’ll do
- Set marketing strategy and global positioning for Vivral and Nair Engineering.
- Hire and manage marketing staff and legal counsel; build process as we grow.
- Approve high-risk claims, launches, and partner narratives with sound judgment.
- Coordinate outside counsel and keep founders unblocked on contracts and policy.
